A tour of a property wearing construction site clothing? This special experience was a lot of fun for the prospective tenants of the four new rows of buildings in Allschwil. This future-focused project offers intergenerational living space and was skilfully showcased by our rental team, who also organised the eventful viewings. We are delighted that all the properties have been rented out and that we have already been awarded a follow-up contract from the satisfied client. 

Congratulations Micaela Tobler. Our dedicated branch manager in Ticino is celebrating an impressive 20 years with Livit. In this interview, she provides insight into her personal history and the unprecedented expansion of the Ticino branch. 

Today’s centre of excellence for ancillary costs within real estate accounting has created industry standards and even launched the first professional training course in its field in Switzerland: compelling evidence that the gradual separation of this specialist field from property management has been a complete success. 

368 m² distributed over two floors, one of which has a sloping roof. To make matters worse, there is an oversupply of office space in the St. Gallen area. A difficult but not impossible undertaking for Livit’s rental team, who accepted the rental instruction and found a suitable tenant, who moved into the entire space in autumn 2023. 

Claudia completed an apprenticeship at Livit, then worked for us as a property manager and team leader. After 17 years, she decided to take on a new challenge outside of our company but returned a few years later. It is not all that uncommon for employees to find their way back to Livit. In 2023, 19 people did it. Find out what prompted Claudia to return to Livit.    

We are an ageing population and the need for age-appropriate housing is thus increasing. The majority of elderly people do not want to live an isolated life in a care facility. In the last post of our Future series ‘How We Will Live Tomorrow’, we’ve teamed up with think tank W.I.R.E. to present ideas for housing in the age of the silver society.

In the latest post in our Future Series, we’ve teamed up with think tank W.I.R.E. to examine the implications of AI in our living and working spaces, and the primary ethical considerations going forward. 

Due to the increasingly tangible effects of climate change and changing consumption and behaviour patterns, demand for climate-neutral products and raw materials is growing. But the need for new materials and the way we use them is set to change in future. While the sharing society plays a key role, a counter-trend is also in play.

Finding a home in Zurich is a challenge – especially for people who are at a disadvantage from a social, economic or cultural perspective. The Domicil foundation has been working for many years to find housing for people in difficult circumstances. As a long-standing partner, we lend Domicil our support, and have decided to expand this assistance in response to a housing market under growing strain. To mark our company’s 60th anniversary, we are making a major donation to Domicil. 

A total of 96 housing units have been constructed on the 8,000 m² Plaines du Loup site in the north of Lausanne. Livit Lausanne was entrusted with the marketing and first-time rental of the modern residential and commercial premises. The new building was well received and has been a complete success, with full occupation announced weeks before the official move-in date.
