Livit construction management renovated two dilapidated properties on Triemlistrasse in Zurich and added a new storey, extending each property by two new apartments.
Livit construction management renovated two Zurich properties that were showing their age. An initial state-of-building analysis identified both problem areas and potential. In view of the good condition of the existing building structure, the decision was taken to perform a full refurbishment and to add a new storey.
Prefabricated timber elements were used in the construction of the new storey, which not only helped slice two months off the building phase, but also significantly contributed to reducing noise emissions for the neighbours.
Properties with energy efficiency refit
A full replacement of the windows and the façade insulation has optimised heat retention. In addition to an extensive utilities duct refurbishment, the apartments were repainted, and modern kitchens, new wet rooms and new floor coverings fitted.
The properties were uninhabited during the renovation. The Livit property management and rental management teams worked with construction management to ensure that the modernised apartments could be re-let immediately. The 22 refurbished and state-of-the-art 1.5- to 3.5-room apartments will welcome their new tenants in February 2023 after a construction period of just nine months.
