On the basis of a building analysis and feasibility study in 2019, Livit construction management was granted permission to refurbish this property, located in a popular, quiet residential neighbourhood in Zurich.

The apartments were renovated while unoccupied. As seen previously, undertaking construction work within an existing building proved to be a challenge in this project, too. The renovation of the eight apartments was undertaken in a contemporary style with open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas, while all bathrooms were refreshed and expanded. The new riser areas were particularly important in this project on account of their building services features and fire-protection characteristics.

The heating system was redesigned and adapted to include an air-water heat pump. Further renovation measures implemented to improve the energy-efficiency of the building exterior include a new roof structure and the complete replacement of the windows.

Integrating a new apartment into the two former basement car parking spaces was particularly challenging. Livit construction management was able to successfully realise the project with a high level of customer satisfaction, from the preliminary study, planning, call for tender and execution through to the handover of the keys.
