Technological innovations and breakthroughs are having an increasing impact on our workflows and manufacturing processes. When it comes to digitalisation, the construction industry is lagging behind other sectors – but there is progress being made here. 

Livit visited the NCCR Digital Fabrication at ETH Zurich. Its Managing Director, Russell Loveridge, told us which achievements had already been reached in the digital realm and what the construction industry is going to revolutionise over the next few years. 

Russell Loveridge is the Managing Director of the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Digital Fabrication. In this role, he manages a strategic committee of professors who conduct research and development activities in the fields of robot construction, 3D printing, autonomous construction systems, new materials and sustainable construction.
