A gem in the old town – modernised and rented out

A breath of fresh air for this historic building in St. Gallen’s old town 

Buildings in the old town ooze charm – like this lovely property on St. Gallen’s Webergasse, which we converted and marketed. It comprises a 5.5-room duplex apartment, offices, a meeting room and a retail space on the ground floor. 

A property in the old town is a little piece of history and undoubtedly boasts charming flair and a sought-after location. This is also true of the real estate entrusted to us on Webergasse. Our construction management team was tasked with converting the building for contemporary use. In addition to optimising the layout, high-quality parquet flooring was fitted in the offices and new kitchens and new electrical connections were also installed.

Our rental management specialists then took on the challenge of finding the right tenants. In the old town, restrictions on deliveries of goods, for example, have to be taken into account – which is not ideal for every commercial tenant. The aim was to let the premises to tenants who would enjoy these commercial and residential spaces in the long term. 

A well-known specialist retailer has moved into the attractive retail space on the ground floor, while the upper floors have been rented out to a commercial tenant who occupies both offices and the meeting room. The stylish duplex apartment also has happy new occupants.
